Meet the Clinician

Hello! My name is Valerie Bourraine, M.S., CCC-SLP. I am a licensed speech-language pathologist in the state of Florida, and am certified as a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Florida International University and a Master of Science in Speech and Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University.

I have worked with children and young adults between the ages of 1-21 in a variety of settings, including private clinics, hospitals, and schools. My primary area of expertise is working with children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Additionally, I have extensive knowledge of the development of speech, language, literacy, and social skills in the pediatric population.

I am passionate about providing a voice for others who are often misunderstood and I am a firm believer that all children can maximize their communication skills when provided with the proper support. Therapy sessions are created using up-to-date, evidence-based practices, and are highly individualized to fit each client’s speech and language needs. All sessions are interactive, and aim to keep your child motivated and actively engaged. I believe children do their best work when they are having fun!
